Rat Terriers
Rat terriers are a generally healthy puppy and will grow to be well tempered adult dogs.
These dogs are very curious and have an inquisitive mind; they are easily distracted that may cause much trouble, such as getting lost in the street. Some dogs can be trained to be squirrel hunters, but it is rather difficult to train the dog to track a squirrel on trees.

These dogs are very playful and active; they need a lot of exercise, both physical and mental. Being natural ratters they like to chase objects, especially cats, but can live peacefully with other pets, if raised with them from the early puppyhood.
